R. Gerald McDonald

R. Gerald McDonald died November 26, 2018 at the age of 88. He was born in Detroit, on June 1, 1930 to Robert and Pansy McDonald. Jerry was the beloved husband of the late Betty May McDonald who died in 2001. Jerry is survived by his loving daughter Michelle (Matthew) Spunar, his two cherished grandchildren Jonathon and Aaron Spunar. He was preceded in death by both of his parents.

Jerry was an avid reader and a dog lover. He enjoyed the symphony and going out to fancy restaurants. Jerry also enjoyed photography. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 28, from 2-8pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 S. Main Street, Plymouth, Michigan 48170. The Funeral Service will be Thursday, at 10:30am at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 39020 Five Mile, Livonia, Michigan 48154. Family and friends may begin visiting the Church at 10am.
