Peter Amato

Peter Amato, age 83 of Plymouth, passed away on August 11, 2019.

Peter was born in Detroit on October 30, 1935 to his parents, Vito and Jenny Amato. He is the beloved husband of Gail (nee Olson); devoted father of four children – William O. (Catherine) Amato, Peter Amato, Eric Amato and Gail (Scott) Hauman; proud grandfather of William J. Amato, Alissa Amato, Damien Amato, Tony Amato and Peter Max Hauman, Ava Hauman, Marga Hauman, Nicholas Amato and Gabi Amato. He is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his sister, Rose Bellamo.

Peter was a talented craftsman with amazing woodworking skills. He enjoyed finishing one project and going on to the next. The smell of sawdust was pleasing to his senses. Starting with an idea, wood projects were created by him with his hands and his tools. And when it was all done, his craftsmanship produced an item of appreciation.

Friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home on Sunday, August 18th from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Sunday, August 18th at 3:00 p.m.
