Patricia J. Gutherie

Patricia Jean Gutherie, age 84, passed away on February 21, 2018, in Sarasota, Florida. She was born on January 20, 1934, in Detroit, Michigan. She loved spending her time up at the cottage in Guthrie Lakes (Waters, MI) and most recently at her homes in Plymouth, Michigan, and Placida, Florida. She loved reading, knitting, and sharing quality time with her family and friends.

Pat is survived by her best friend and the love of her life, her husband of nearly 60 years, Melvin C Gutherie, Jr. She was the loving mother of Melvin C. (Bernadette) Gutherie, III, Sharon A. (Kevin) Galliker, and William T. (Debbie) Gutherie. Pat was also blessed with loving grandchildren, Randall (Deanna), Chelsea, Samuel, Megan and Matt, and her three great grandsons, Cameron, Fitzgerald, and Emerson. Pat was the dear sister of Karen Miller, and is preceded in death by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Thomas Gutherie and Rosemary Gutherie.

Visitation will be Friday, March 2nd from 4-8pm and Saturday, March 3rd from 10-11am with funeral services at 11am at Schrader-Howell Funeral Home in Plymouth, Michigan.
