Mattie DiFalco passed away November 26, 2011, at the age of 67. She is the beloved wife of James. Loving mother of James (Joyce) DiFalco, Cindy (Ron) Thornsberry, Michelle Yelen and Liz (Joe) Mullins. Dear grandmother of Chelsey, Ronnie, Kyle, Jake, Cody, Randi, Natalie, Kassie, Joey and Jimmy. Dear sister of Wayne (Marsha) Fields, Shirley (Oscar) Ward, Bud (Carol) Fields and Nadine (John) Kellar.

Mattie was born in Baxter, Tennessee, to Wilfred and Helen (Eden) Fields. She moved to the Detroit area when she was a child. She worked at Great Scott in Westland as a cashier, and later worked at General Motors Fisher Body in Livonia for 13 years. Mattie previously lived in Hawks, Michigan, and Canton, Michigan, prior to living in Garden City for the past year and a half. She loved her flower garden up north and enjoyed Shirley Temple and John Wayne movies. She was married to her beloved James for 48 and a half years. Mattie was a great cook and made a wonderful home for her family, whom she loved dearly, especially her grandchildren.

Friends may visit at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 S. Main St., Plymouth, Sunday, November 27, 2011, from 2PM until 8PM. Funeral services will follow on Monday at 10AM. Final resting place will be Parkview Cemetery, Livonia, Michigan. Memorials in Mattie's memory may be made to the Karmanos Cancer Institute, 4100 John R, Detroit, MI 48201, http://www.karmanos.org/
