Maryann Cismoski

Maryann Cismoski, age 89 of Plymouth, MI passed away on May 29, 2019.

Maryann was born in Berlin, Wisconsin on November 15, 1929 to her parents, Ezedore and Wanda Resop.

She is the beloved wife of the late Eugene W.J. Cismoski; devoted mother of Christine (Tony) Hangartner, Sandra (John) Constantine, David (Kelly) Cismoski and the late Harold Cismoski; proud grandmother of Nicholas Hangartner, Andrew Hangartner, Nathaniel Cismoski and Skylar Constantine.

Maryann is preceded in death by all her loving brothers and sisters: Leonard, Mike, Irene, Alice, Isabel, Clarence, Edward and Thomas.

Maryann worked many years as a devoted and caring Nurse. Her natural gift was always serving people which were exemplified through her nursing skills. She was very conscientious in serving her patients with dignity, respect and true compassion.

Maryann was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church since 1978. She sang in the choir, was a money counter for weekend collections and she served those in need at Manna Meals.

She had a quiet but strong faith. She donated to many charities. Her home was decorated with many religious items: Crucifixes, statues of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and images of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. She was patient and she was kind (see 1st Corinthians 13). Among her favorite trips were pilgrimages to Fatima (Portugal) and Lourdes (France).

Maryann loved traveling “back home” to Berlin to visit with family & friends. It was a joy for her to cook and bake for her family. Everyone loved her apple strudel. Her hobbies were gardening, bowling, golfing, sewing and crocheting. She enjoyed monthly gatherings with her card club.

Friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth on Tuesday, June 4th from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. There will be a rosary service at 7:00 P.M. Maryann will be in-state at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 47650 North Territorial Road, Plymouth on Wednesday, June 5, 2019. The Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 A.M. to be officiated by The Reverend Dave Tomszycki. Maryann will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Eugene at Ft. Custer National Cemetery at Augusta, Michigan.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Maryann Cismoski to Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. Memorial contribution envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.
