Obituary for Mary Anne Raniszeski

Mary Anne Raniszeski, age 88 of Plymouth, was welcomed into God's Kingdom on September 21, 2020.

Mary Anne was born on April 18, 1932 to her parents Stanley & Lottie Chocholek in Detroit, Michigan.

In 1957 Mary Anne married the love of her life, Stanley Raniszeski Jr. and together they shared 57 years of marriage where they made a loving home and family.

Everyone who met Mary Anne loved her. She was a gentle, generous, humble soul with a quick wit and grateful spirit. Her role as a mother and grandmother was very important to her and spending time with her family brought her great joy. She led by example and her children were gifted with strong Christian values and the importance of love and kindness.

In her earlier years, she was a talented seamstress and she enjoyed needlepointing and all types of crafts. There wasn’t a project Mary Anne wouldn’t tackle from wallpapering, upholstering and light repairs. She loved to travel and enjoyed many trips with family and friends.

While Mary Anne experienced many health challenges later in life, she never complained and soldiered on with such strength and grace. As dementia slowly robbed her beautiful mind, she never forgot the faces or voices of her family. The smile on her face and twinkle in her eyes when she saw or heard them was priceless!

Most important of all, Mary Anne was a woman of God and she was devoted to the holy rosary. Her unwavering faith through adversity was her greatest legacy to her family. In the words of 2 Timothy 4:7, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” May Mary Anne rest in peace in the loving arms of her heavenly Father and blessed Mother Mary. Well done good and faithful servant!

Mary Anne is survived by her children Kathy Raniszeski, Kim Raniszeski, Paula (Peter) Melville & Gary Raniszeski ; grandchildren Jill Melville, Kate Melville & T.J. Raniszeski; dear "sister" Eleanor Nobles. Mary Anne will also be dearly missed by many family and friends as well as everyone who's life was made better by having known her. She was preceeded in death by her husband Stanley Jr.; son Gregory Raniszeski and brother & sister-in-law Stanley (Virginia) Chocholek.
