Laura Ann Picano

December 12, 1966 — May 17, 2021

Laura Ann Lynn was born on December 12th, 1966 in Detroit, Michigan at Sinai Hospital. She came home to her sister, Carolyn, and brother, Mark, both of which adored her. Family was important to Laura and she had a special bond with all members. Laura graduated from Churchill High School in 1985 and was on the Pom-Pon team. After graduation, she enrolled at Schoolcraft College and received two Associate’s science degrees. Later, she graduated from Wayne State in 1999 with honors and became a Registered Dietician.

As a Registered Dietician Laura held many advanced positions. She served at the new Providence Hospital in Novi on the Metabolic Support Team, the Wayne County Health Department, and Beaumont Hospital. Laura was highly respected by her colleagues in the field. Dominic Yacuone was given birth by Laura on September 4th, 1999. She was a wonderful Mother who always put Dominic first. She gave a hundred percent of her love and time to him. Many happy memories were made together in Church,
Boy Scouts, and little league baseball.

Laura met Mark Picano at Northridge Church in December 2010 and it was love at first sight for both. They were engaged in February 2011 and married on September 30th, 2011. Mark and Laura were blessed with many happy memories together and always sought to honor the Lord in their marriage. Laura was a very devout Christian who loved the Lord deeply. She endured challenging circumstances but trusted in God whom she found faithful. God’s promise has been realized by Laura as she is now home with Him and her Dad. Laura was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt to her family. She will be dearly missed and always be remembered as a gracious, gentle, loving, and kind person. Laura is survived by her beloved husband, Mark Picano, her son, Dominic Yacuone (and kitty Linus), her mother, Barbara Lynn, her sister, Carolyn (Steve) Tyler, and her brother, Mark (Margie) Goff. She was also an aunt to Shannon, Brandon, Austin, Lexxie, and Maggie Grace.

A special thank you to all her childhood friends who never forgot her during these difficult days.
