Jon O'Connor

Jon Carl O’Connor of Plymouth died April 13, 2018 at the age of 76. He was born in Detroit to parents Harry and Pearl O’Connor on April 26, 1941. Jon was the beloved husband of the late Maureen O’Connor who died in 2006. They were married for 42 years. Jon is survived by his loving children Jon O’Connor, Colleen (Matthew) Otto, and Kevin O’Connor (Marsha Connett), his precious grandchildren Emma, Meghan, Truth, and Freedom, his dear siblings Evelyn (the late Martin) Carl, and Donna (Jim) Geistert, and dear brother in law Rich. He was preceded in death by his siblings Jess (Dave), Jim (Mary Lou), and Joan and his step mother Marville.



Jon graduated high school and spent his career working in automotive sales. He was an avid reader and enjoyed fishing, golfing, and playing cards. Jon also enjoyed entertaining family and friends and hosting his yearly Christmas party. He loved to travel with his wife Maureen, especially going on cruises. More than anything, Jon loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren.



Visitation will be Wednesday, April 18, 2018 from 2-8pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 S. Main St., Plymouth, 48170 with a Rosary Service at 7pm. His Funeral Mass will be Thursday, April 19, at 10:30am and celebrated at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 47650 N. Territorial Road, Plymouth, 48170. Family and friends may begin visiting the Church at 10am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Angela Hospice.
