John "Terry" Murphy

John "Terry" Murphy, age 79 of Northville, passed away on December 30, 2013. Born June 24, 1934 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Loving husband of 56 years to Ann (Cechowski). Beloved father of Dr. Rosanne (Dr. Michael Cotant) Murphy, Brian P. Murphy and Kathleen (Dennis) Lion. Proud grandfather of Michael Cotant, Joseph Cotant, John Cotant, Anne Marie Lion, Meghan Rose Cotant, Claire Lion, Kathleen Lion and Dennis Lion. Mr. Murphy worked for the Detroit Red Wings organization for 24 years as Director of Sales and Advertising and the same position for 7 years for the Detroit Pistons. A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 6, 2014 at St. Kenneth Catholic Church 14951 Haggerty Rd, Plymouth with visitation beginning at 10:00am until time of mass at 10:30am. Friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home 280 South Main St., Plymouth on Sunday from 2:00pm-8:00pm with a Rosary service at 4:00Pm. Interment Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI.
