John was a 1982 graduate of Elyria High School and 1987 graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Aerospace Engineering followed by a Masters. He was currently Senior Director for Siemens Product Lifecycle Management Software Inc. He held a patent for an air handling subsystem. He also leaves parents Rev. Ronald and Artha Marmaduke, sisters Sharon Hammond, Laurie Stewart and Tamara Brown and brother Michael Marmaduke. He was predeceased by his father-in-law Philip Brown. Also surviving is John’s mother-in- law Rowena Brown, brother-in-law Phil Brown and sister-in-law Sharon Philhower. The great loves of his life were his family and his church. He spent many hours at his Lake Erie cottage in Canada where he dedicated all his time to doing whatever the family wanted. John was a brilliant man with a wide variety of interests both academic and fun. He loved his toys; model cars, trains, airplanes, boats and antique cars. John always had times for the kids and when he was with them he always joined in the fun! He was very involved at his Presbyterian Church. He had been a trustee and chairman of the search committee for an associate minister, involved with the midweek Logo’s program and was currently on the Board of Elders where he served on the pastor advisory committee. John Stoner Marmaduke, loving husband, dedicated father, perfect brother and son will be sorely missed, but his memory will comfort, guide and sustain us.
