John Picano

Giovanni (John) D. Picano, age 86, born in Cassino, Italy, on October 22, 1933, passed away on July 12, 2020. He was the beloved husband of the late Barbara (nee Maddox). Loving father of daughter Shelly Marisa Picano-Dunn (Keith Dunn, estr.), and son Mark John (Laura) Picano. Grandfather of Dominic Yacuone. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. After retiring from his independent custom home building company, he and Barbara resided in Monterey, California. In respect to his Catholic faith, was a member and served at San Carlos Cathedral for many years.

Visitation will be held at Schrader-Howell Funeral Home in downtown Plymouth on Thursday, July 16 from 1-7 p.m. Funeral Service is Friday, July 17 at 11:00 a.m., with luncheon following at Picano's restaurant in Troy.

Funeral service is also planned in Monterey, California at San Carlos cemetery where he will be buried next to wife, Barbara.
