John Henry Poszywak

John Poszywak passed away at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Superior Township on Sunday, May 1, 2011. John was born in Detroit on May 21, 1935 the son of John and Sophie (Rozanski) Poszywak. He graduated from Chadsey High School in Detroit and served in the United States Navy on the battleship U.S.S. New Jersey and also on a seaplane tender. After fulfilling his military obligation he began a career with Western Electric in repair work. He retired a number of years ago. He loved outdoor life including camping and fishing. He played the drums for various bands and also enjoyed model making. He was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church of Plymouth.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2 pm until 9 pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth. Visitation will continue on Friday from 10 am until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 47650 North Territorial Road at Beck, Plymouth
