Janet P. McLean

Janet Phyllis McLean, of Westland, passed away November 26, at the age of 82. Janet was born in Plymouth to Lawrence and Mildred Burgett. Janet grew up in Plymouth and married her beloved husband James in 1953. They moved to Westland where they raised their two sons James Jr. and Scott McLean. Janet was preceded in death by her mother, father and step-mother Vera, husband James Sr. and her son James Jr. She is survived by her son Scott (Kristen) McLean, her grandchildren Scott McLean, Nicole McLean, Amy (Doug) Hayden, Brandon Riebe, and Kim (Joshua) Forbes, and 12 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Geraldine Olson, and her two step-brothers James and Gary Burgett.Janet was an optimistic woman who could always find the positive in any situation. She loved flowers and loved to garden. She was also very talented at crafting. One thing she enjoyed was watching the cooking channel and then trying those recipes. But above all, Janets biggest accomplishment was her two dear sons. Her love for her family was the greatest love she had. Visitation for Janet will be held on Monday, November 30th from 1-5pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 S. Main Street, Plymouth, with the funeral service at 5 pm.
