James Frank Zaczek

James Frank Zaczek passed away on February 9, 2015 at the age of 68. He was born in Detroit on November 29, 1946 to Frank and Betty Zaczek. He was married to his beloved wife Nadia for 38 years and maintained the title of, “Best Husband in the World”. He was the cherished son-in-law of Jeannine Florentin and dearest brother to Jack R. (Cynthia) Zaczek and Jane C. (Michael) Casey. James was also blessed with many loving nieces and nephews. He proudly served his country in the United States Army as a paratrooper during the Vietnam war. After serving in the military, James was employed by Great Lakes Steel as a Boilermaker Operator. After his 31-year career at Great Lakes Steel, he went on to own Beverages To Go in Northville where he was known to his customers as a great friend to all and storyteller extraordinaire. James was a dedicated animal lover and held a special place in his heart for all of them - especially for cats. During his time at Great Lakes Steel, he was known for rescuing many of the surprisingly affectionate mill cats that he took into his own care. Friends may visit the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home located at 280 S. Main St., Plymouth on Friday, February 13th, 3pm-9pm where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 14th at 10:00am.
