Harriett Evelyn (Lynn) Tillock

March 23, 1925 — March 5, 2011

Age 85, of Plymouth, Michigan passed away on March 5, 2011. Harriett was born in Cleveland Ohio to parents George and Harriett Fleck. During World War II she would fall in love and marry Dr. Robert A, Tillock on March 10, 1945. Both would settle in Saginaw. Together they were blessed with their daughter Barbara (Ron) Bullotta. Harriett attended the University of Michigan and later received her Bachelors, Masters and PhD from Michigan State University. For the next 29 years she would teach Sociology for Saginaw Valley State University. Harriett was blessed with a beautiful voice and she became very active with the Countryside Trinity Church choir in Saginaw until 2004 when she moved to Plymouth and became active in The First Presbyterian Church of Plymouth. Harriett is survived by her grandchildren: Steven Unger, Shannon (Trent) Ross, and Stacey (William) Matthias. Great grandchildren: Natalie Unger, Ezekiel and Nolan Ross. Dearest sister-in-law to Norma and Robert Patterson, loving Aunt to Lori (Ed) Halase. Other niece and nephew survivors are Robert Halase, Robin (Robert) Ritter, Janet Boehler and Henry Boehler. Proceeded in death by her parents and her sister Mary Jane Boehler and nephew George Boehler.

A memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, 701 Church Street, Plymouth on Saturday March 12, 2011 with family receiving friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Emily Riley Campbell officiating. Memorials may be made to the youth scholarship programs at the First Presbyterian Church in Plymouth or the Countryside Trinity Church, 4690 Weiss Street, Saginaw, MI 48603-3785. Interment will be at Roselawn Cemetery, Saginaw, MI.
