Harold "Harry" Anthony McCourt died peacefully on January 14, 2017 in Novi, Michigan at the age of 83.
His beloved family included his wife of 61 years, Grace, daughter Donna M. McElroy; daughter Susan M. Burns and her husband Michael; son Michael J. McCourt; daughter Judy M. VanEizenga (deceased), and daughter Jane M. Behling (deceased); his grandchildren, Tatum, Kate, Sarah, Sam, Melissa, Shelby, Hannah, Jason, and Alyssa; and three great grandchildren.
Harry was born on May 31st,1933 and raised in Detroit, Michigan. He was a decorated Korean War Veteran. He married his wife, Grace, on August 27th,1955. He was compassionate, quick-witted, and loyal. He will always be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend....Go soirbhí Dia dhuit.
Services will be held on Thursday, January 19th, viewing at 10:00 followed by mass at 10:30 at St.Thomas a’Becket Catholic Church, 555 S. Lilley Rd., Canton, Michigan. Harry will be buried at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery 25800 W. 10 Mile Rd., Southfield, Michigan.
