Gladys June Jacot

January 17, 1924 — February 3, 2015

Passed away at the Plymouth Inn on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at the age of 91. Gladys was born in Detroit, the daughter of Amyl and Margaret ( Wenzel ) Gadde. During World War II Gladys worked at the Willow Run Bomber Plant in Ypsilanti, After the war she married Paul Jacot who had been held as a prisoner of war. Gladys loved animals, especially dogs. She also enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. The couple loved their vacation cottage on Strawberry Lake. In 1976 her husband Paul passed away but in 1988 she took on the special job of " caregiver " to her niece Janice Nadeau. She is survived by Janice and another niece Sandra ( Ray ) Plesiewicz and nephew David ( Donna ) Nadeau. Gladys is also survived by a great niece Laurie and was preceded in death by her siblings Mildred ( Walter ) Nadeau. Earl ( Lucy ) Gadde and great nephew Joseph Varady. Visiatation will be held at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home on Friday Febuary 6,2015 from 11 am until the time of the funeral service at 1 pm with the Reverend Dr. Donald G. Proctor of Immanuel Baptist Church of Ypsilanti. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Gladys to Angela Hospice, 14100 Newburgh Road, Livonia, Michigan 48154-5010 and Humane Society of Huron Valley, P. O. Box 7026, Liberty Station, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48107-7026.
