Gary William Tisdale, age 78 of Northville passed away on March 21, 2020. Gary was born on March 7, 1942 in Monroe, Michigan to his parents, the late George and Emmalee (née Littrel) Tisdale.
He is the beloved and devoted husband of Judy (née Brown). They were married on July 17, 1965 at Cherry Hill Presbyterian Church in Dearborn. Gary is the loving father of two children, David and his wife, Jennifer Tisdale, Linda and her husband, Ryan McGrew and proud grandfather of five grandchildren – Grace McGrew, Jackson Tisdale, Abby McGrew, Faith Tisdale and Nicolas McGrew.
Gary was employed by the Ford Motor Company of Dearborn where he enjoyed his 30+ years career in the automotive industry. He retired as a Process Manager. After his retirement from the Ford Motor Company, he became a volunteer at Greenfield Village. It was an opportunity to work in a one-of-a-kind workplace. For 18 seasons, he was assigned to the Wright Brothers Home and Cycle Shop at the village where he was able to inspire its visitors with authentic stories of the brothers, Wilbur and Orville Wright’s innovation, and ingenuity.
Gary is deeply loved by his family, friends and all whose life may have been touched by him.
A memorial gathering and service is being planned for a later date at Cherry Hill Presbyterian Church in Dearborn.
