Garland Warren

November 12, 1936 — January 27, 2011

Passed away suddenly at St. Mary Mercy Hospital in Livonia on January 27, 2011 at the age of 74. Garland was born in Obion, Tennessee the son of Carneilous and Johnnie Imogene (McCoulough) Warren on November 12, 1936. For over thirty years he worked at Westside Green Houses in Inkster, a large nursery and later for General Fastener of Livonia from where he retired in the late 1990's. Garland loved to bowl and played soft ball in his earlier years but his real passion was for gardening. He was a member of Cross Point Community Church in Wixom where his son is the pastor. He is survived by his wife Joyce and three children Tonya (Michael) Thiede, Timothy (Laura) Warren and Kenneth (Rachel) Warren. Ten grandchildren, Eric, Adam, Justin, Amanda, Evan, Kendra, Bethany, Nathan, Brooke and Ian along with his siblings Carneilous Warren Jr. and Vonceil Ingram.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 30, 2011, from 12 noon until 9pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11am. Burial will follow at Glen Eden Cemetery in Livonia.
