Florence Elaine Paden

Florence Paden passed away peacefully on April 1, 2013 in Chandler, Arizona. She was born November 7, 1914 in Wayne, Michigan the daughter of Lemuel and Minnie ( Shields ) Clement. Florence lived most of her life in Livonia before moving to Arizona to be closer to her family. She was a life-long member of the Newburg United Methodist Church of Livonia where she gave countless hours volunteering in church activities. Florence will be remembered for her incredible cooking and baking skills. She was also active for a number of years in The Livonia Historical Society. This would not be complete without mentioning Florence's vigorous support of her favorite sports teams: anything University of Michigan, the Tigers, Red Wings, Pistons, and yes, even the Lions. She led a long, gracious, and productive life and will be sorely missed. Florence was preceded in death by husbands Harry Crawford and Charles Paden and her great-granddaughter Jody Crawford. She is survived by her children, Richard ( Dorothy ) Crawford of Naples, Florida, Joan ( Rod ) Wallis of Gilbert, Arizona and Dale ( Linda ) Crawford of Maricopa, Arizona. She is also survived by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home on Friday, April 12, 2013 from 2 pm until 8 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday, April 13, 2013, 10 am with Reverend Marsha Woolley of Newburg United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be at Leland Cemetery in Salem. In lieu of flowers contributions are suggested to either the Newburg United Methodist Church or the Livonia Historical Society.
