Dorothy Marie Foss

Dorothy Marie Foss of Plymouth, died September 12, 2018 at the age of 93. She was born in Flint on July 23, 1925 to Roy and Rose McDonald. Dorothy was the beloved wife of the late Robert Foss who died in 1991. Dorothy is survived by her three loving children, Kathleen (the late Darryl) Hahn, Robert (Cathy) Foss, and Patricia Foss, and many cherished nephews. She was preceded in death by both of her parents and her dear sister Rose Van Esley.



Dorothy was a very loving and kind woman. She was an elementary school teacher for many years, primarily at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic School in Livonia. Dorothy was a faith filled and faithful servant. She loved animals, and cherished her granddogs. Dorothy was a very hardworking mother and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.



Visitation will be Sunday, September 16, 2018 from 2-8pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 S. Main St., Plymouth, 48170. There will be a Rosary Service at 7pm. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, September 17, 2018 at 10:00am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 47640 N. Territorial, Plymouth, 48170. She will be in state at 9:30am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen or the Salvation Army.
