Donna Lee Pearse

Donna Lee Pearse (née Sexton), age 78 of Plymouth, passed away on July 12, 2021. She was born on November 11, 1942 in Kansas City, Missouri to her parents, Donald Eugene and Martha Helen (née Clarkson) Sexton.
Donna spent her youth first in North Kansas City, and later, through High School, in Prairie Village, KS. Donna studied ballet, tap and jazz and, on occasion, performed at the Starlight Theater in Kansas City. She attended both Colorado College and Kansas State University. After raising her family here in Michigan, she joined the American Community Mutual Insurance Corporation as a Claims Adjuster and Director. Donna was a born leader, avid reader, and person of principle. She was the keystone of her family, a dedicated mother, wife, and a friend upon one could always depend. Most of all, she was loved, admired and respected by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Robert Pearse, daughters, Anne Wardynski of Stanwood, MI, Jill Pegg of Plymouth, MI and, Lynn Barlow of Canton, MI. She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her younger sister, Janet Lorch of Oceanside, CA and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Memorial details will be formulated at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice or simply perform a kindness for a stranger and say, “it was from Donna.”
