David Robert Champe

David Robert Champe, passed away on March 22, 2018, at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Superior Township. He was born October 31, 1944, in Northville, to his loving parents, Robert & Jean Champe. Beloved husband of 52 years to Rose (Siok). Loving father Douglas (Elizabeth) Champe and Kristen Keys. Proud grandfather of Jacob Champe, Hadley Champe, Michael Keys, John Champe, Tom Keys and Andrew Champe. Dear brother of John (Sandi) Champe and Charles (Kim) Champe. He is also survived by sister-in-law, Pat Miller.

David worked as an Optician for CO/OP Optical in the Detroit area. David enjoyed watching all Detroit sports. David was known for being an excellent cook and an avid Detroit sports fan. He also had a love for old cars, especially hot rods, and watching old Cowboy movies. Most of all, David loved spending time surrounded by his family.

A visitation will be held at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main St., Plymouth, on Friday, March 30, 2018, beginning at 3:00pm until time of funeral service at 6:00pm. Cremation will follow the service.
