Cherry Parsons

February 19, 1925 — April 2, 2013

Passed away at Regency Health Care in Taylor on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at the age of 88. Cherry was born in England on February 19, 1925 the daughter of Alfred C. and Gertrude E. ( Manson ) Knight. She meet her husband to be, Carl Parsons while he was stationed in England during World War II. She was the first " War Bride " to come to this area after the war. She worked as a loan officier with the former National Bank of Detroit for well over twenty years. In her earlier years she enjoyed playing gold and she loved to shop, bargins being her speciality. She was a member of the St. Margaret's Guild of St. John Episcopal Church of Plymouth. She was preceded in death by her husband and also by her daughter Mary Lynne Season. She is survived by her son Robert and her grandchildren Heather ( Kevin ) Sylvester, Jennifer ( Nick ) Moors and Michelle. Five great grandchildren also survive. A Memorial Service will be conducted at St. John Episcopal Church, 574 Sheldon Road, Plymouth on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 11 am. Her cremains will be placed beside her husband at Riverside Cemetery in the early summer.
