Charles Kozub, Jr.

October 2, 1943 — March 25, 2021

Charles Kozub, Jr (Chuck), a long-time resident of Plymouth, Michigan, died unexpectedly on March 25, 2021 at the age of 77.

Chuck is survived by his beloved wife, Debbie, two Brothers-in-Law, Gary Glassford and Frank (Cheri) Patt as well as his nieces and nephews, Rick (Kim) Bratek, Gary (Linda) Bratek, Mike (Debbie Bolig) Bratek, and Lisa (Jeff) Sprinkle, including great-nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Kozub, Sr. and Jean Kozub, his sister, Joann Glassford, brother, Richard Kozub and nephew, Mark Bratek.

Chuck was born on October 2, 1943 to Charles, Sr. and Jean Kozub in Detroit, MI. He graduated from Dearborn’s Fordson High School and went on to graduate from Washtenaw Community College with a degree in Computer-Aided Machinery. On September 16, 2003, Chuck married his sweetheart and best friend, Debbie Patt who was the most important person in his life. Chuck retired from Ford Motor Company in 2000 and worked for several years at Glacier Retirement Center in Ann Arbor, MI.

Chuck was a devoted husband and avid Plymouth-Ann Arbor Elks member who enjoyed volunteering, especially with Veteran activities as well as assisting those in need of help. Chuck never met a stranger he didn’t know and took great pleasure in making people always feel welcome and had a wonderful sense of humor. Despite contracting Polio as a child, there wasn’t anything Chuck couldn’t do once he put his mind to it. ”No” was not in his vocabulary. Chuck was a “Jack of all Trades” who often took on difficult and unwanted projects at home and the Elks. He especially enjoyed solving problems pertaining to mechanics, plumbing, electrical and building projects. He had a great love of gardening, bowling, tennis, biking, racquetball and loved the outdoors. Most of all, Chuck valued his family and friends, not only as an Uncle, a Best Friend, a Confidant and Great Listener, but as someone who always put others first. Chuck was a spiritual man and will be deeply missed by his family, friends as well as his dog, "Rosie" and all who knew him.
