Cameron V. Dostie

October 16, 1930 — January 2, 2011

Passed away on January 2, 2011 at the age of 80. Mr. Dostie served in the United States Navy onboard the USS Bedong Strait CVE 116 as an engineering officer from 1953 - 1956. He received his higher education at the University of Michigan and Kansas University receiving a B.S. degree. He worked for Warner-Lambert in Ann Arbor for 35 years retiring in 1991 as its Facilities Engineer Director. He was in charge of all facilities, grounds and the power plant. Residing in Plymouth for the past 50 years he was active in the Optimist Club and a member of the 1st United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife Ruth and his children Craig (Debbie) Dostie, Susan Dostie, Myra (Andrew) Eddy and Neil (Laurie) Dostie. Eight grandchildren, two brothers and two sister along with many nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2011, from 3pm - 8pm at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main Street, Plymouth. Visitation will continue Thursday at the 1st United Methodist Church of Plymouth, 45201 North Territorial Road, Plymouth from 10am until time of the funeral service at 11am. Contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association or to the church.
