Audrea Kuhfeldt

Audrea Flora Josephine Kuhfeldt, age 105 of Plymouth, passed away on March 22, 2020. She was born in Northville, Michigan on December 20, 1914 to the late William and Eleanor Kreeger. Audrea was the beloved wife of the late Harold Kuhfeldt. They married on May 20, 1939. Audrea is survived by her children, Ellen (Gary) Schroeder, and Kirk (Dawn) Kuhfeldt. She is the loving grandma to Anne (Daniel) Wilson, Nathan (Ingrid) Schroeder, Terri (Benjamin) Elder, Dayna (Ryan Schaffer) Schroeder, Kayla Kuhfeldt, Travis Kuhfeldt. Great-Grandma to Hannah Wilson, Levi Schroeder, Bernadette Schroeder, Greta Schroeder, Amelia Elder, Ruth Elder and Miriam Elder. Audrea was preceded in death by her brother Elsmer Kreeger and granddaughter Jamie Schroeder.
Audrea Kuhfeldt was a graduate from Plymouth Highschool in 1932 and followed by a degree in business. She was an amazing mother, grandmother, and friend to all that were blessed to be a part of her life. She brought so much joy to everyone's heart and you couldn’t help but be happy when being around her. Audrea enjoyed being with her family and spending quality time playing euchre or watching the Detroit Tigers play baseball. You could always find her with a crochet hook in hand making her incredible dishrags. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, quilting, and baking. She always thought that these were important skills and that more schools should incorporate them in their teachings. She also enjoyed learning and reading about Native American history and their culture.
Audrea was the most supportive grandmother to her grandchildren and great grandchildren, attending all their sporting events, plays, dance recitals, and other events in their life. Out of everything, there was one very important aspect in her life that topped everything, her faith. Audrea Kuhfeldt was a firm believer in Christ and knew that it was her time to be called home to heaven. Knowing how strong her faith was, we can be comforted knowing she is in heaven no longer suffering. “I know that my Redeemer lives..” (Job 19)
Memorial contributions can be made to the new hymnal fund at Audrea’s home church, Peace Lutheran 9415 Merriman Rd. Livonia, MI 48150. Checks can be made out to Peace Lutheran Church.
A private committal service with immediate family will be held this week. A memorial service will be held later this summer.
