Annamarie Hartge
April 10, 1925 — June 3, 2018
Annamarie Hartge, age 93 of Surprise, Arizona and formerly Livonia passed away on June 3, 2018. Annamarie was born on April 10, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Emil and Elsie (nee Wolfgram) Schoenberger. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Erwin Hartge and they are now reunited for eternity.
Annamarie is the loving and devoted mother of two children, Paul (Lisa) Hartge and Timothy (Gail) Hartge; proud grandmother of Laurel (Scott) Adams, John (Colleen) Hartge, Sarah Hartge, Abigail (Nicholas) Turner, Joshua Hartge and Hannah Hartge; great-grandmother of Gavin, Joslin, Corryn and Owen. She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her brother, Bernie Whalley.
When Annamarie and Erwin retired, they moved to Arizona. She enjoyed sewing, golf, skiing and especially loved camping in their RV. She was a life-long Lutheran and loved her Church. Over the years, she had become very involved with various ministry events. She was a talented musician and was still taking music lessons in Arizona before moving to Michigan in December. Since her return to Michigan, Annamarie’s children provided assistance with her care. The family gives the staff at the American House in Westland their greatest gratitude for their assistance in her care.
Annamarie will be remembered for her passion for her children, her church and her friends. All who knew Annamarie also were touched by her loving nature, and especially her unwavering faith in God. She was a loving and devoted wife, consummate mother, very proud and doting grandmother and great-grandmother, and always believed her life’s greatest achievement was her family. Her spirit is carried on in each and every one of them.
A Memorial Gathering and Service celebrating Annamarie’s life will be held on Friday evening, June 15th. Friends may gather beginning at 6:00 pm until the time of the service at 6:30 P.M. at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 34567 West Seven Mile Road, Livonia. The service will be officiated by Pastor Scott Sessler.

A Memorial Service will be held at Crown of Life Church in Sun City West, AZ on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 beginning at 11:00 A.M. followed by a luncheon. Annamarie will be laid to rest with her husband Erwin at the Crown of Life Memorial Garden.
