Anita J. Schrandt, age 89, of Garden City, passed away on January 9, 2012. Beloved wife of 56 years to the late Robert. Loving mother of Nanette (Wesley Wood) Schrandt, Bobette (William Buck) Schrandt and Cary (Holly) Schrandt. Proud grandmother of Jason Robert, Kristin, Annaliese and Spencer Schrandt. Mrs. Schrandt retired from the Wayne/Westland School District, where she taught 3rd grade for over 30 years at Lincoln Elementary.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2012, 10:00am from the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 South Main St., Plymouth. Friends may visit Thursday 2-9pm and Friday 2-9pm. Interment will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan. Memorials may be made to LACASA, 2895 West Grand River Ave., Howell, Michigan 48843, or to Juvenile Rights Division, N.Y. Legal Aid Society, 199 Water Street, New York, N.Y. 10038.
