Amy E. Bertrand

Amy E. Bertrand, age 97, of Westland, passed away on July 4, 2011. She was born in Canton, to parents John and Avis Blackmore. She graduated from Plymouth High School in 1931. She served in the United States Army during World War II. After the war, she went to work for Burrough's Corporation in Plymouth. She was a life member of the Plymouth Elks Lodge 1780, and a member of the Houghton Lake Methodist Church.
Amy is preceded in death by her husband, Louis W. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Ann (Jerry) Leland, Carol Noblit, Virginia McCoubrey, Nancy Burnett, Dale (Hazel) Blackmore and William Blackmore; and many great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, Plymouth.
