Alan Ewald Thuernau

Age 77, passed away on October 20, 2020 after a battle with Leukemia. He was born January 13, 1943 in Tiffin, Ohio to parents Ewald and Cathern Thuernau. He was a 1961 graduate of Green Springs, Ohio high school and a 1965 graduate of Ohio State University. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Joyce Thuernau
Cherished father of Doug and daughter- in-law Sue, loving grandfather of Ashley and Scott.
Al was a long time Engineering Manager at Detroit Diesel. He was a 30 plus year resident of Plymouth and a member of the Newburg United Methodist Church in Livonia. Al loved classic cars, gardening and spending time with family and friends. Al is deeply loved and will be dearly missed by many.
A gathering in Al’s memory will be held at a later date.
