Alan Douglas Stuart

Passed away on Monday, April 18, 2011 at Angela Hospice at the age of 81. Alan was born in Royal Oak, Michigan, the son of William and Katharine (Stirling) Stuart. He spent his early years in the Royal Oak area, graduated from Central Michigan University with a B.A. in Journalism and for the past fifty years has resided in the Plymouth area. For over fifteen years he owned his own public relations firm, Stuart Communication Group. He was active with the Plymouth Symphony, the Plymouth Arts Council, the 4-H of Michigan, the Public Relations Society of America and his church, Our Lady of Good Counsel. For the past 57 years he shared his life with his wife Lois who survives him. Also surviving Alan our his three daughters, Lisa (Brent) McVeigh, Jane Stuart and Celia Stuart Whitman along with two grandchildren, Mariah and Austin McVeigh. A Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 47650 North Territorial Road at Beck, Plymouth, on Monday, April 25, 2011 at 10:30am.
