David was in my Spanish class last year. He used to make us laugh and laugh, and always made class more fun. He was a great kid who was very fun to be around. And if he was still around in two years, I have no doubt he would be off to play football at Notre Dame on scholarship. I did not know or ever meet David. But I watched him play in the state championship game at Ford Field on Saturday. I kept on commenting to my friends that this #33 is always around the ball and in on every play. And now you read of his sudden death. Such a devastating loss to your family. My heart truly goes out to all of you. May David rest in peace and forever look down over you and your family. I really do hope that Catholic Central High School retires the number #33. And proudly hangs it in the trophy case.

i am sorry for your loss, i read the artical in the detroit news about DCC and Cass Tech. the fact that they would come to the service says a lot about your son. you should feel honored and proud of the way he was able to bring the schools together. it sounds like he was a special young man.
