David M. Widzinski
September 3, 1996 - December 3, 2012
i am sorry for your loss, i read the artical in the detroit news about DCC and Cass Tech. the fact that they would come to the service says a lot about your son. you should feel honored and proud of the way he was able to bring the schools together. it sounds like he was a special young man.
My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family of David... Sometimes it hard to find the right words to say when we loose a love one, so I hope you will find comfort in the wonderful memories you have. I also hope you will find comfort in knowing that God is near to those who are broken at heart. Psalms 34:18
My prayers are with you and your family during this time. I am so sorry.
My deepest sympathies to your family.

Barbara, Paul, Stephen and Emily,
Yesterday's service was the most moving and beautiful tribute I've ever witnessed. What a testament to how many lives have been touched by your wonderful son David, and by the Widzinski family overall. We feel so blessed to have you in our lives, and to have had the privilege of knowing David as the wonderful son, brother and friend that he most assuredly was. God bless you all! Love, Leslie, Kevin, Connor, Maddie and Will
My love and support to my sister Barbara, Paul, Emily and Stephen. I am forever changed by the last two days. Thank you David for inspiring me to be a better person. Keep shining your light on your family and friends. They now need your strength. Forever in my heart.
David spent his life making people happy so I know he would want us to stay happy even though it's so sad.
The Pilots are praying for you and for your son. May Perpetual Light Shine upon him.
Paul, Mary Ann, Brandon CC '11, Collin CC '15 and Justin Brefka
We have a sophomore at CC and although we did not know David, our son did. He said he was one of the nicest guys, he said he was nice to everybody. Our son is shy but said he talked to David everyday, they sat next to each other in several classes. We are all so sad for your loss, and the loss of such a kind young man. Your family is in our prayers and we know that David will be in the minds and hearts of all that new him forever.

Barb and Paul, The words fail me as I try to type this, No one should have to bury their child, It was not meant to be this way. I have never walked down this road that, you are having to walk down but, know this, God will not let you walk it alone, when you get tired and weak He will carry you. I pray that He will send His comforter to wrap His arms around you and give you peace for HIS is the only peace that can comfort you in this walk. Count the blessings and hold tight to the memories that David gave to you He will always be with you in your hearts and memories. God took him so soon, we don't know why but,He is now a flower forever blooming in the Masters bouquet. God's peace be with you. Love your lifetime friend.
I did not know or ever meet David. But I watched him play in the state championship game at Ford Field on Saturday. I kept on commenting to my friends that this #33 is always around the ball and in on every play. And now you read of his sudden death. Such a devastating loss to your family. My heart truly goes out to all of you. May David rest in peace and forever look down over you and your family. I really do hope that Catholic Central High School retires the number #33. And proudly hangs it in the trophy case.
Barbara, Paul, Stephen and Emily - Out hearts ache for the unimaginable and tragic loss of your son and brother David. Though we did not have the pleasure of meeting David, our son shared a class with him and is grateful to have known him and experienced his humor and genuine niceness. It is clear what a truly special young man he was and we are praying for God's peace for your family and all of his many friends.
I am so sorry for your loss.
