Lucille C. Baldori

December 7, 1920 — November 9, 2017

Lucia D'Emilio was born in Monessen, Pennsylvania, on December 7, 1920, the eighth of nine children born to Anna and Dominic, immigrants from the Abruzzo region of central Italy. After graduating from Monessen High School, she became a singer during the big band era, meeting and marrying trumpet player John Baldori during her short musical career. She was a gifted singer, but immediately after the war moved with John to Dearborn, MI and started raising a family.

Lucia had many gifts besides her musical talent. She was an exceptional writer, had an artistic eye, and was a cook without peer. She canned, crocheted, and could fix anything in the house. But her main gift was the selfless love and inspiration she gave to all who knew her, especially her family.

Her wisdom, peaceful nature, and fundamental goodness put an indelible stamp on all of us, and we are grateful for her long and well-lived life.

Surviving her is her husband of 75 years, John, her sons Bob(Kelly), Louis, Leonard (Teresa), and Jeff. Grandchildren Anna (Brad) , Michele, Joe, Angie, Nick (Nina) , Sam, Jacque, Marcus, and Lia. Great-grandchildren Tyler, Jaxon, Jude, and Jada.
