Lois Carol Plichta

Lois Carol Plichta age 89 of Rogers City passed away at home on April 29, 2017.

She was born December 25, 1927 in Detroit to Clifford and Mamie (Haeger) Bryan.

Lois graduated from Plymouth High School. On October 30, 1948 she married Arnold Plichta in Plymouth. Lois retired from AAA in 1983. She and Arnold moved to Rogers City in 1989. Lois is member of the First Presbyterian Church in Plymouth and Westminster Presbyterian Church in Rogers City. She was involved with the Rogers City Women’s Civic League, Welcome Aboard and a Hospice Volunteer.

Mrs. Plichta is survived by 2 daughters, Diane (Gary) Robinson of Westland and Carol (Mike) Johnson of Onaway; 1 grandson, Aaron (fiancée, LeeAnn Grulke) McMann of Alpena; 2 great granddaughters, Ava and Brooklyn.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold; parents, Clifford and Mamie; and a sister, Evelyn Woodworth.

Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 2nd from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. with Pastors Karen and Greg Zurakowski officiating. Visitation will resume at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home in Plymouth on Friday from 11:00 a.m. through time of funeral at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Emily Campbell officiating.

Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Plymouth.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Hospice of the Sunrise Shore in memory of Lois Plichta.
