George Anthony Dalian

October 10, 1926 — April 25, 2017

George Anthony Dalian passed away April 25, 2017 at the age of 90. He was born October 10, 1926 in Detroit to John and Anna (Schmidt) Dalian. George is the beloved husband of Lucille for 61 years. He is the dear father of Keith (Lanette) Dalian and Diane (Larry) Zablocki, dearest grandfather of Steffanie (David) Marshall, Lisa Dalian, Brittany (Charlie) Kelly and Jake Zablocki and great grandfather of Jonathan, Luke, Nick, Ben and Jack. He is the dear brother of Jim (Penny) Dalian, Carol (Wally) Makowski, Joan Wizen and the late Jack Dalian.

George was a resident of Novi, formerly of Livonia for 15 years and Dearborn Heights for 40 years. He loved his job as a Mail Carrier for the United States Postal Service. Having started with the Postal Service in 1950 and retiring in 1983. George was a member of the V.F.W. and at one time a member of the Knights of Columbus. George loved sports and was an avid skier. At one time he also played tennis, softball and he played golf until several years ago. Most of all George loved spending time with his friends and family. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed.

Friends may visit at the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, 280 S. Main St., Plymouth, Sunday, April 30, 2017, 12noon until 3pm with services beginning at 3pm. Memorials in George's memory may be made to the ChadTough Foundation (DIPG Brain Tumor Research) chadtough.org
