Grief Support Group
Please join us for a Grief Support Group sponsored by Schrader-Howell Funeral Home and the Plymouth Community Council on Aging, facilitated by Brigid G. Lynch. The group will meet the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month from 11:00am-12:30pm at the Plymouth District Library, 223 Main Street. There is no charge and registration is not required. Survivors of Suicide Loss Support Group
Losing a loved one to suicide is a painful and difficult experience that can lead to despair, isolation and hopelessness. Please know you are not alone. Join us for a Support Group for Survivors of Suicide Loss on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month from 6:30pm-8:00pm at the Michigan School of Professional Psychology, 26811 Orchard Lake Road, Farmington Hills (next to the Orchard Ridge Campus of OCC). The group is sponsored by Schrader-Howell and Lynch & Sons Funeral Homes in conjunction with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) and is facilitated by Brigid G. Brigid G. Lynch is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a National Board Certified Counselor (NBCC). She received her Master's Degree in Counseling from Oakland University and her Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources from Michigan State University.
Brigid has over 20 years of experience working with the bereaved in various areas of funeral service. She provides follow-up services and individual and group counseling for the families served by Schrader-Howell. She maintains a private counseling practice in Bingham Farms, where she uses her expereience to help those suffering from grief & loss, depression and anxiety disorders. Brigid is often called upon by local school districts to assist students, parents, teachers and staff, with crisis intervention following a death by suidcide of other traumatic loss.
Brigid serves on the Board of Directors of the Metro Detroit Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. She is a member of the American Counseling Association and the Michigan Counseling Association. She has access to many resources and maintains a lending library for clients.
